An oldie but a goodie, here.

Back in February of last year, an internet user (who we imagine looks like this) decided to take it upon himself to erase a “funny looking signature” from an old handheld gaming device. The device in question was a pre-Gameboy handheld Donkey Kong video game that those born in the 80s or late 70s might be familiar with.

Oh, and just to clarify, the person who created Donkey Kong is a guy named Shigeru Miyamoto. He’s a rather reclusive video game designer. You may have heard of another couple of his creations: Super Mario, Zelda, Starfox, and the Wii.

So, this internet denizen apparently took it upon himself to document his cleaning of a “funny looking signature” off of his gaming device. That signature? Shigeru Miyamoto. That signature? To some collectors, on such a rare item from 25 years ago, it could have fetched up to $10,000.
