Law professor accidentally sends students anal bead porn

What seems like an honest but humiliating mistake could end up costing a Drexel University law professor her job.

According to Inside Higher Ed, on March 31, professor Lisa McElroy meant to email a “great article on writing [legal] briefs” with her students on a school-run message board. Unfortunately, McElroy ended up sharing the link to a Pornhub video titled “SHE LOVES HER ANAL BEADS?”

The obviously NSFW video is still available on Pornhub and was punctuated by this brilliant exchange between two MENSA members in the comments section.

The mishap became known as “beadgate” among students and probably should have just ended with the professor being embarrassed for a few days before the whole thing blew over and everyone went on with their lives. After all, the person who tweeted the image of the toy plane crashing into a vagina on behalf of US Airways got to keep their job. And that person sent the image out to over hundreds of thousands of followers, not an enclosed group of adult law students. Unfortunately for McElroy, she’s been placed on leave while administrators at Drexel’s Thomas R. Kline School of Law investigate what was either a simple mistake or the not entirely implausible scenario that the posted link was a hack.

“Drexel has been made aware of the email that a professor sent to her class of law students that erroneously included a link to inappropriate material,” the university said in a statement. “The university takes all matters of this nature seriously and investigates them in accordance with our standard policies and procedures.”

Hopefully common sense prevails and it becomes clear that McElroy wasn’t intending to sexually harass her students. In the meantime, here is the professor in happier times as a contestant on “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” courtesy of the Above the Law blog.
