Brooklyn’s Total Slacker are a trio that play about four shows a week. It’s not very slacker of them, but it has earned the band a loyal following.
Total Slacker combine the speed of stoner rock with garage production and pop hooks.
The band only has a seven-inch under its belt, but has a few more songs up its sleeve. One of which they so kindly gave to us, so we can give to you.
“Creepos” is off their upcoming split seven-inch with Weird Dreams, which will be released on Marshall Teller Records in late October.
The band explores their signature psych-pop sound on the track, which features the pristine vocal harmonies of lead singer Tucker Roundtree and bassist Emily Oppenheimer. They’re dating, by the way.
Not only has this band released some great songs, they are a great act to see live. Roundtree tosses himself around like an epileptic, usually knocking his glasses off at some point during the show. By the second or third song you can pretty much guarantee him to be on the ground doing something that half-way resembles break-dancing and a full-blown seizure. All of this while totally shredding!
Here’s the track — listen and share.
