Insane Clown Posse fan holds radio station hostage with ax

A 38-year-old Insane Clown Posse fan’s song request ended in an arrest Monday night after he rolled up to the the Kiss 108 radio studios in Medford, Massachusetts wielding an ax.

A witness told NBC Boston that Richard Newton entered the station’s office and demanding that they play the ICP song “My Axe.” Also, he was brandishing an ax the whole time.

After making his request, Newtown returned to his car and hung out in the parking lost while police cars surrounded him. During the three-hour standoff between state police and the SWAT team, he rammed into a cop car and casually tossed his weapon out of the window.

Newton surrendered to police custody at 4:30 pm. Reps for law enforcement said that Newton will undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
