Plus, Kanye and Pusha T join forces on “Touch It.”
All of these guys were recently down at SxSW along with us Death and Taxes folk. Snoop took part in a Nate Dogg memorial show with Warren G., while Kanye and John Legend were both part of Ye’s G.O.O.D. Music showcase. Now, hear them all together on “Eyez Closed,” which will be featured on Snoop Dogg‘s upcoming LP “Doggumentary,” scheduled for release on March 29.
We’re really feeling the beat on this one, which was co-produced by Kanye, No I.D. and Plain Pat. It’s quite simple really, but those high-pitched synth drum hits have us hooked, and the distorted riffing guitars in the background are a nice touch. Snoop and Kanye ride the beat well, too.
In related news, Clipse MC and “Runaway”-featured Pusha T released the very decent “Fear of God” mixtape. On a highlight track he jumps on Kanye‘s “Touch It” beat. Girls, you’ll never guess what these two want you to touch.
