Peter Fonda Claims To Be Training Grandsons With Long-Distance Rifles For Fight Against Obama

Something must be in the water at Cannes.

First filmmaker Lars von Trier bizarrely referred to himself as a Nazi, now Peter Fonda is going bat-shit on Obama.

In a press conference last week for his documentary film “The Big Fix” about the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill Fonda said to The Telegraph, “I sent an email to President Obama saying, ‘You are a f—— traitor,’ using those words… ‘You’re a traitor, you allowed foreign boots on our soil telling our military – in this case the coastguard – what they can and could not do, and telling us, the citizens of the United States, what we could or could not do’.”

Strong words, considering the fire his sister took for the “Hanoi Jane” controversy. But according to Deadline’s review Fonda’s statements were consistent with the ideas in his film:

“The film also comes out swinging against President Obama, repeatedly stating he is no better than George W. Bush and even implying at one point that his administration and all government is corrupt. It presents the most aggressive attack from the left on Obama yet seen.”

Then this weekend, the 70 year-old star went for broke. In another statement to The Telegraph he said:

“‘I’m training my grandchildren to use long-range rifles. For what purpose? Well, I’m not going to say the words ‘Barack Obama,’ but …’

‘It’s more of a thought process than an actuality, but we are heading for a major conflict between the haves and the have nots. I came here many years ago with a biker movie and we stopped a war. Now, it’s about starting the world.

‘I prefer to not to use the words, ‘let’s stop something’. I prefer to say, ‘let’s start something, let’s start the world’.’

‘There’s no room any more for a cissy and, like I said, don’t forget that I’ve got grandsons who I’ve trained with long-distance rifles. We have to run like mofos to change this world.’”

Well at least he’s not mellowing out with age.
